feed.

round
a handful of curves
covered in shadow
touched
by a glint of light
and my eyes
i press gently
then harder with my thumbs
and
fingers
to open it to me
crisp
i pull away
the core
and seeds
what gives it life
and
potential for more
i draw
the piece
close to my mouth
its scent
teasing my nose
right before
i take it in
taste
upon my tongue
that taste
that spice
that feeling
before
i
feed
myself
more
