Two Radioactive Thumbs Up
Lately, we’ve been watching a lot of movies. I used to prefer realistic stuff, low key dramas about real life, but now that they no longer represent what our lives are like I just find them depressing. Instead, we like to watch post apocalyptic movies, and laugh at how inaccurate they are. Last week we had a Kevin Costner double bill, and three people fell asleep during the first movie. Last night we watched The Road, which most of the group liked but I just found boring. Then we had a heated argument over whether zombie movies should be included. I was against it, until someone else pointed out that I’d already selected 28 Days Later for a previous screening.
If you’re reading this, you might be wondering how people in a post apocalyptic world can find time to watch so many movies. But then again, if you’re reading this, you’re living in the same world, so you already know what it’s like. In which case, I recommend that if you ever watch I Am Legend, you stop halfway through.
