A Certain Romance To Electricity Pylons

Oh, where’s this? I like this. All the twinkly lights, and it’s night time, and all the little houses and, and…this is so romantic…where am I?

Sigh…okay…here we go again…

We’re in your subconscious mind, that’s where we are. Again.

That…would explain why everything’s so romantic…

Yes, yes, it would, wouldn’t it.

I think you’re missing a question mark there.

Nope, that wasn’t a question, just a statement of fact.

Oh. I see.

Yes…you see. But do you really see?

I think so…

I don’t. Why have I brought you here…again? Or, rather, why have you brought you here again? You see the little sparkly lights, the clear night sky…and your mind leaps to romance. There’s a flamin’ electricity pylon over there, for feck’s sake!

Is there? Oh, so there is…I didn’t notice that… But, you know, there’s a certain romance to electricity pylons, don’t you think?

No! I don’t think! Dude, what is wrong with you?? Can’t you go a day without thinking about bloody romance? Can’t you just, for one minute, sit there and not be thinking about a woman?

Of course I can. I’ll do it right now.

Who are you thinking about?

Oh, shut up.

Who is it?

You know who it is. She’s very pretty. I really can’t help it.

Yes you can. Of course you can. See all that work you have to do, why don’t you just think about that, to the exclusion of everything else…just for an hour or two. Imagine what you could achieve!

Okay. Fine. I’ll work. But I’m going to watch Batman while I work, ok?

Oh, yes, sure, watching Batman…that’s really going to help…

Shut up.
