The Muse

A lot of people ask me where I got my inspiration. Bit indiscreet of them, I always think, but, really, deep down I don’t care a jot! I’m just glad I’ve made such an impression.

The truth is, I found my inspiration in an antiques shop. A darling little place, quite grubby and dusty with dead moths literally strewn over everything, but there are some real finds.

She was exactly what I was looking for, a lovely sculpted little face and well-shaped eyebrows. Oh and I just loved that mouth, that little pursed rosebud so very different from my own Channel Tunnel, haha!

But it’s the eyes that really got me. Big, beautiful, bold and innocent. No one could refuse a thing to anyone who was peeping out at them through those. Gorgeous.

When I brought her in to see my surgeon, he thought I was kidding – actually laughed in my face until he could see I was deadly serious. He said he was sorry he’d mistaken my intent, it’s just that he’s so used to people bringing in photos of celebrities and models that a doll was a total surprise.

He charged me a fortune, an absolute beast of a bill in the end, but he had trouble replicating those eyes – my skin wasn’t really elastic enough to be pulled back that far, apparently. Still two ops later and he’s found a way round it. What do you think? You don’t think he’s made them too wide, do you darling?
