The Picture’s Just A Memory

It’s so easy watching the world float by,
Just take your seat, relax, believe the lie,
Now everything happens for a reason,
The perfect excuse for every season,
It’s so easy watching the world float by.

Take a picture, keep it safe, make it last,
Hold it close while the world goes by so fast,
But soon the picture’s just a memory,
And there is nothing really left of me,
Take a picture, keep it safe, make it last.

Sometimes good people do bad things, it’s true.
Though I never expected them from you,
But I have done my share of evil deeds,
Why expect you to be better than me,
Sometimes good people do bad things, it’s true.

I regret the things I’ve said and never done,
The words formed on my lips and not begun,
I feel that I have wasted so much time,
Searching for things that I will never find,
I regret the things I’ve said and never done.
