Original Sin

It’s strange to think that everything was already fully formed. Not only all those little chromosomes that dictate (how apt) how everything would turn out, from hair colour to eyelash length to moustache-growing prowess and the ability to grow only one testicle, but also all that evil, all that sin.
Behind that crinkly baby forehead is a brain with artistic tendencies but a mind implanted with a twisted intelligence, not big enough yet to hold all that megalomania, but one day…
That tiny mouth it covers with its hand will later shout orders of the most repugnant and despotic in human history; those eyes screwed tight shut will open to look on other races and be filled with irrational disgust for what they see.
It looks far too small to contain all the hate of the world and yet it does. Everything is mapped out already, it will all come to pass, and the world will stand by while he grows.
