Almost like the association of ideas we all go through when we look at the Elephant Words picture of the week. I like how you explored this process via a subtle and revealing therapy session. Technically, the writing is flawless, and I like the way the therapist's words are in italics, which tends to cut them off from protagonist's reality, somewhat, as if he's deep in his own world.
