Bizarre thriller sees washed-up journo Miller fall for mysterious charms of Arnet… or is it History? Curio from fading World America studio has it all: Drag racing, smuggling, pirates, a millionaire hobo, and even a tap-dancing bear! Sweet and amusing thanks to Arnet’s onscreen vamping, but turns unintelligible toward last reel. A real downer of an ending too. Mistry shines as borderline-paranoid writer friend with a deadline obsession, but what is the meaning of that title? Followed by a sequel, minus History. Amerivision. [R]
